Landscape timber rebar spikes. Pound an 18 inch section of 3 rebar through each pilot hole. Home timbers rebar. You can use it alone or in conjunction with landscape spikes and screws but it does require predrilling.
Drill a pilot hole through the timber at each mark. Drill 3 8 inch holes through the centers of the timbers spacing the holes about 4 feet apart. Ensure that each spike is driven through one timber and deep into the next timber beneath for a secure fit.
Rebar pieces 1 2 x 24. Secure the timber border to the ground with rebar if desired. Pound the spikes into the wood with a hammer using 3 or 4 in each timber to hold several rows together.
Perforated pipe with sock. Lean back on the handle of the nail puller to pry the metal spike out of the landscape timber. Step 5 go to each of the remaining corners of the landscape timbers and remove the metal spikes in the same manner.
